153 Pages , تعارف : شيخ عبد الكريم الجيلي شيخ عبد الکریم الجیلی محرم کے مہینے میں (767) ہجری) میں یمن میں پیدا ہوئے اور شہر زبید کی وادی سردو کے ایک گاؤں " ابیات حسن" میں پلے بڑھے۔ اسی گاؤں میں آپ کی وفات (826) ہجری ) میں ہوئی اور یہیں دفن ہوئے۔ جہاں تک الجیلی، الجیلانی یا الگیلانی کے نسب کا تعلق ہے، کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ گیلان کی طرف منسوب ہے جو شمالی ایران میں طبرستان سے کچھ فاصلے پر واقع ہے اور ان کے آباؤ اجداد اس شہر سے یمن آئے تھے۔ یہ بھی روایت کیا جاتا ہے کہ وہ بغداد کے ایک گاؤں "جیل" سے یمن آئے تھے۔ الجیلی کو لسانی، ادبی، فقہی، فلسفیانہ اور صوفی علوم پر عبور حاصل تھا، وہ کم عمری میں ہی ہندوستان، فارس، عراق، مصر، فلسطین، حجاز اور یمن کی سیاحت کے لیے روانہ ہوئے۔ کہا جاتا ہے کہ انہیں عربی زبان میں خوب مہارت حاصل تھی اور اسکے علاوہ ہندی اور فارسی زبان سے بھی واقف تھے۔ ان کی تربیت صوفی طریقت پر یمنی امام شرف الدین اسماعیل الجبرتی (جن کی وفات من 806 ہجری میں ہوئی ) کے ہاتھوں ہوئی، جو قادریہ سلے کے شیخ تھے لیکن سلسلہ اکبریہ کے ذوق رکھنے والے کی حیثیت سے مشہور تھے ؛ یعنی شیخ الاکبر محی الدین محمد ابن عربی (638-560ھ) کی تعلیمات کا ذوق رکھتے تھے الجیلی نے بہت سی کتابیں لکھیں، جن میں میں “الانسان الکامل "، الکہف والرقیم " اور دیگر کتب شامل ہیں۔ اللہ تعالی انہیں غریق رحمت کرے اور ان کے درجات بلند فرمائے Introduction: Sheikh Abdul Karim al-Jili was born in the month of Muharram in the year 767 Hijri (1365 AD) in Yemen, in the village of Abiyat Hasan in the Sardaw Valley near the city of Zabid. He passed away in the same village in the year 826 Hijri (1423 AD) and was buried there. There are various accounts regarding his lineage, with some suggesting association with Gilan, a region in northern Iran, and others indicating his ancestors migrated from Tabaristan in Iran to Yemen. Some sources also claim that he migrated from the village of Jil in Baghdad to Yemen. Education and Travels: Sheikh Abdul Karim al-Jili excelled in linguistic, literary, jurisprudential, philosophical, and Sufi sciences. He embarked on journeys at a young age, traveling to India, Persia, Iraq, Egypt, Palestine, the Hijaz, and Yemen for study and exploration. He was known to have proficiency not only in Arabic but also in Hindi and Persian languages. Sufi Training: Sheikh Abdul Karim al-Jili received his Sufi training from Sharaf al-Din Isma'il al-Jabarti, an Imam in Yemen who was renowned as a Sheikh of the Qadiriyya Sufi order. While he belonged to the Qadiriyya order, he was famous for his inclination towards the teachings of Sheikh al-Akbar Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi. Literary Contributions: Sheikh Abdul Karim al-Jili authored numerous books, including "Al-Insan al-Kamil" (The Perfect Man), "Al-Kahf wa al-Raqim," and others.
